OPENS TONNEAU COVERS AUTOMATICALLY
Anyone who has struggled with the task of manually opening a tonneau cover when they’ve got an armful of packages, groceries, etc. will appreciate SNUGTOP’s great new PowerLid™ option that provides hands-free convenience!
At the push of a button, a compact, powerful actuator briskly opens the tonneau cover. Hit another button on the fob and the tonneau closes tightly. A third “unlatch” button merely opens the lid and allows it to be raised manually. Additionally, the PowerLid™ has a built-in safety feature that stops or reverses direction of the lid if an obstacle is detected.
A SNUGTOP exclusive, the PowerLid™ option can be ordered with any SnugLid SL or SnugLid F2 tonneau cover. The actuator is a maintenance-free 12-volt free screw drive, with an electric motor that is coupled to a planetary gear reducer. What’s more, the PowerLid™ operates independently of the standard gas springs, so the tonneau can still be operated manually if so desired.
